FOUNDERS & LEAD PASTORS BILL & TRISH YANNEY
Pastors Bill and Trish Yanney are the founders and lead pastors of Worship City Church. With a deep love for Jesus and a passion for people, they launched the church on October 7, 2007 in Sioux City, Iowa with a clear vision: to build people through the Word, the Spirit, and the love of God.
Pastor Bill is a native of Sioux City, graduating from North High School and later attending the University of Iowa. In 1985, he gave his life to Jesus and was filled with the Holy Spirit. After sensing a call to ministry, he pursued formal training at RHEMA Bible Training Center. Pastor Trish, originally from Lakeland, Florida, graduated from Florida Southern College and also attended RHEMA Bible Training Center. Together, they stepped into full-time ministry, serving as missionaries in Spain and Peru where they helped plant churches and train ministry leaders.
It was during their time in Arequipa, Peru that God clearly spoke to them about returning to Sioux City to plant a Spirit-filled church. Obeying that call, they moved back and founded Worship City Church.
Since the beginning, their heart has remained focused on one mission: to reach people who don’t know Jesus, help them encounter Him personally, and lead them into freedom, purpose, and a life of impact. Through powerful worship, biblical teaching, authentic community, and a strong focus on the next generation, Worship City Church continues to see lives changed by Jesus.
Today, Bill and Trish serve as lead pastors alongside their four children, who are actively involved in church life and ministry.
Their vision remains simple and steady — to see people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference in Sioux City and beyond.
